Co-op: play with friends
Azeroth Survivors has co-op since game 0.114.0: up to 5 players survive the same horde together. Here is how to host, how to join, and what to do when joining fails.
Is Azeroth Survivors multiplayer?
- Yes, co-op for up to 5. Everyone in the party fights in the same run, each with their own hero.
- Lobbies, public or private. Public lobbies appear in a list anyone can join; private ones are joined by code only. Either can have a password.
- Search filters. Public lobbies can be filtered by Zone, open access (no password), or zones unlocked by your hero.
- 14 Co-op achievements. Clear runs and specific party challenges together to unlock exclusive vanity hats, cloaks, tabards, companions, and pet perks.
- Browser only. Co-op runs through the official site, so play it at wow.aethus.pl. The Windows download was last updated before co-op came out.
How to host a co-op lobby
- Pick your hero and the zone on the main screen. The lobby uses both.
- Press Co-op, next to the button that enters the zone, and open Host.
- Give the lobby a name and, if you like, a description of what the run is about.
- Choose who can find it: Private: by code only, or Public: in the list.
- Set Max players, from 1 to 5, and an optional password.
- Press Host the lobby and send your friends the lobby code.
- When everyone is in, close the window and enter the zone: the whole party comes along.
Lobby names and descriptions are checked, and a name the game does not allow is refused. The host can kick a player from the lobby.
How to join: public list, filters & lobby codes
From the public list & filters
Press Co-op and stay on Lobbies. It lists public lobbies for your game version. You can narrow the list using built-in search filters:
- Zone: any — Filter by specific zone or keep it open.
- No password — Toggle on to show only open public lobbies with no password prompt.
- Unlocked zones — Toggle on to only show lobbies in zones your currently selected hero has unlocked.
With a lobby code
Press Co-op, open Join by code, enter the code your friend sent and the password if the lobby has one. You play the hero on your picker, in the host's zone, and come along when the host enters it.
Zones open per class, so to join a friend in a later zone, the class on your picker must have unlocked that zone too. Pick a class that has, or join a lobby in an earlier zone. See zones.
What changes in a co-op run
- Going down, not dying. When you fall, you are down until a friend stands next to you and brings you back. The game shows how far along the revive is.
- Party DPS. The damage meter has a Party DPS view, available only while you are in a party.
- Seamless reconnects (New in 0.120.2). If a party member drops connection temporarily, the game attempts automatic reconnection and updates party status without instantly ruining the run.
- The host decides what is next. When the run is won, the host chooses between endless mode and going back to the lobby, and the party follows.
- Leaving. Anyone can use Leave the party. If the host leaves or closes the party, it ends for everyone.
Each player brings their own hero and class, so the Azeroth Survivors tier list and class builds apply in co-op too.

FAQ
Is Azeroth Survivors multiplayer?
Yes. Since game 0.114.0 up to 5 players can share one run in co-op. You can still play alone as before.
How many players can play together?
Up to 5. The host picks the maximum, from 1 to 5, when creating the lobby.
How do I play with friends?
One of you opens Co-op on the main screen and hosts a lobby, then shares its lobby code. Everyone else opens Co-op, picks Join by code and enters it, plus the password if there is one. When everyone is in, the host enters the zone and the whole party comes along.
How do the lobby search filters work?
In the public lobby list, you can filter by Zone (or select Zone: any), toggle No password to see only open public rooms, and toggle Unlocked zones so the browser only lists rooms your current character can join immediately.
What rewards can I unlock in co-op?
14 dedicated Co-op achievements reward cosmetic items and companions: hats (Admiral's Hat, Bloodsail Admiral's Hat, Whitemane's Chapeau), cloaks (Cape of the Brotherhood, Cloak of the Brood Lord, Cloak of the Devoured), the Contest Winner's Tabard, companions (Mr. Bigglesworth, Ancient Protector, Mini Herod, Mini Nefarian), and the Hunter White Devilsaur pet skin perk.
Does co-op work in the Windows download?
Play co-op in the browser at wow.aethus.pl. Co-op runs through the game's own site, and the Windows download was last updated before co-op came out.
Why can't I join a lobby?
The usual reasons: your class has not unlocked the host's zone yet, the lobby plays a different version of the game, the run is already under way, the party is full, or the password is wrong. The game tells you which one. See join errors.
What happens when I die in co-op?
You go down instead. A friend who stands next to you brings you back, and a bar shows how far along they are.
Can I join a friend's run that has already started?
No. Joining only works before the host enters the zone; once the run is under way the lobby refuses new players.
What happens if I disconnect during a co-op run?
Starting in version 0.120.2, the game features seamless reconnect handling. If a player or host encounters a network drop or browser hiccup, the game automatically attempts to restore the connection and displays party status notifications rather than immediately terminating the run.
