Download, platforms and fixes
The fastest way in is the browser: open the official site and press Enter World. If your browser lacks WebGPU or the servers are busy, use the official Windows build.

Troubleshooting
"This browser has no WebGPU"
- Update to a current Chrome, Edge or Safari. Firefox is not the recommended browser here.
- On Linux Chrome, enable
chrome://flags/#enable-unsafe-webgpuand restart. - Or skip WebGPU entirely with the official Windows build.
"WebGPU found no usable graphics card" or a black screen
- Turn on Use graphics acceleration when available in
chrome://settings/system(oredge://settings/system). - On a laptop with two GPUs: Windows Settings → System → Display → Graphics, set Chrome or Edge to High performance, then restart the browser.
- Update your graphics driver.
chrome://gpuexplains why WebGPU is disabled. - Remote desktop sessions usually have no usable GPU.
"Too many people are playing"
When the site is overloaded it says so on the page. Use the Windows download, or try again later.
Why is it laggy? Lag and low FPS fixes
- Lower Render Scale in the game's options; it is the biggest performance lever.
- Plug in your laptop and make sure the browser uses the dedicated GPU (see above).
- Close other heavy tabs; late waves put hundreds of enemies on screen.
- On phones, the first seconds stutter while shaders compile. If the driver crashes, reload the page.
Is Azeroth Survivors safe?
The browser version is the safest option: it runs in your browser's sandbox and installs nothing. For the Windows build, only use the link on the official page. It is a free, unsigned fan build, so a SmartScreen "unknown publisher" warning is expected; that alone does not mean it is malware, but it is reasonable to scan it before running it.
Red flags: sites asking you to log in with a Battle.net account, pay, install a "launcher" from somewhere else, or download from a file host the developer did not link. None of that is needed to play.
Platform FAQ
Is Azeroth Survivors safe to download?
Use only the Windows download linked from the official page, wow.aethus.pl. It is an unsigned fan build, so Windows SmartScreen or your antivirus may warn about an unknown publisher; scanning the file before you run it is sensible. Avoid re-uploads on other sites. The browser version needs no download at all.
Can I play Azeroth Survivors on Android or iPhone?
Yes, in a current mobile browser with WebGPU. The game has built-in touch controls; on Android the first tap goes fullscreen and locks landscape. iPhone browsers cannot go fullscreen for a web page, so expect browser bars. Older or low-end phones can crash while shaders compile; reloading usually gets past it.
Can I play Azeroth Survivors on Mac?
Yes, in the browser. Use a current Safari, Chrome or Edge with WebGPU. The downloadable build is for Windows.
Does Azeroth Survivors work on Steam Deck?
There is no Steam release. Two routes can work but are not officially supported: a WebGPU-enabled Chrome in Desktop Mode, or adding the Windows build to Steam as a non-Steam game and running it with Proton. The game supports gamepads.
Why is Azeroth Survivors laggy?
Usually the browser is not using your graphics card, or Render Scale is too high. Lower Render Scale in Options, make sure the browser runs on the dedicated GPU, close heavy tabs, and plug in a laptop. Slow loading is different: when many people are playing, the official servers get busy, and the Windows build is the fallback. See troubleshooting.
Is Azeroth Survivors open source? Is it on GitHub?
The official game's source code is not public. The azeroth-survivors-re project on GitHub is an unofficial community rebuild of an older version (different zones and starting spells), and it needs your own WoW 1.12 client data. For the current game, play the official build.
Is there a Steam version?
Not at the time of writing. Azeroth Survivors is a free fan project distributed through its own website. Treat any Steam or app-store listing claiming to be it with suspicion.
